We were thrilled to participate in this year’s CINZ MEETINGS programme where we engaged with a diverse group of buyers and industry professionals. It was fantastic to showcase our team-building events including some recently launched products.
Our first event of the pre MEETINGS famil program was hosting a small group in the Matisse room where they let their inner performing artist loose. ‘STOP, COLLABORATE & LISTEN’ is a team-building event that caters for all – every lead singer needs backup, every song needs a composer and every band needs noise!
With the assistance of a ‘real life’ producer and performer the group worked together compiling words and sounds that reflected their experiences of Auckland during the previous few days. Hidden talents were exposed, plenty of laughs shared and everyone played to their strengths and each guest was provided with a copy of their collaboration soundtrack.
On day two we launched our ‘BUNCHES OF LUNCHES’ event to 110 guests on the Auckland Famil. The event comprises of an interactive CSR quiz where teams earn points that convert into Eat My Lunch meals helping kiwi kids in need. Groups used technology to answer a series of questions which were crafted specifically for the destination.
Eat My Lunch founder Lisa King joined us and shared their story from conception, being inundated with volunteers and hungry clients, to their aim: for each kiwi kid to have a nutritional lunch and give them the best start in education and life. This group raised enough to provide over 3 classrooms with lunches – great effort team!
Our team then moved quickly to the Auckland Town Hall where we began to pack in for the CINZ MEETINGS welcome function. We produced the event liaising with the other sponsors to deliver a night to remember. It was a privilege to work within a heritage building that has played a significant part in Auckland’s history. Our concept for the event was to remain respectful to the significance of the building, and to inject a little modern-day glamour too.
To achieve this, we used florals and candles around the venue along with great lighting to make the space feel warm and inviting for the guests on the first rather cold night of winter. On arrival a string quartet kicked off the event and then accompanied a solo artist who performed ‘This is Me’ from The Greatest Showman. This performance was followed by the Star Wars theme song played on the organ – what a great way to connect the old with the modern theme.
The next day it was over to the ASB showgrounds where we met so many incredible people who like us are passionate about our clients, industry and delivering successful outcomes. If you were not able to attend this year we strongly suggest you mark your diary now for 29-30 May for MEETINGS 2019. It was an action-packed week, with long demanding days but we thrived and loved every minute of it. We’re now energised and ready to go again!
